Building Bridges Developmental and Community Services (BBDCS) is excited to announce a new fundraiser called Taste and Talent: A Fusion of Food and Art, which will be a festive, networking-style event held on Thursday, September 26, from 6-8 p.m., at Bella Terra Estates in Cabot. Guests will be treated to some of the best tasting menus our local area has to offer, as well as displayed artwork from local artists, drinks, and silent auction. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online at www.BuildingBridgesAR.org. Featured restaurants include: Sage Tea & Treats, Squizitos, Buckman Brewhouse, Pizza Pro, Arkansas Catering by Chef Wayne, Dairy Queen, Grinds Coffee Company, Overtime Cabot, US Pizza, The Grumpy Rabbit, Taylor’s Kitchen, and Kayla's Cookies. Building Bridges Developmental and Community Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities from birth and early childhood through adulthood. For more than 50 years, BBDCS has put hope within reach for individuals with disabilities and their families and caregivers by providing a variety of home and community-based services, affording opportunities for them to live, learn, work, and engage in their community. Currently Building Bridges serves over 470 clients and students in Cabot, Lonoke, and surrounding communities that cover Lonoke, Prairie, White, Faulkner, Jefferson, and Pulaski counties. “We’re excited to bring a new type of event to Cabot that showcases the best food and art in Lonoke County, but most importantly, we’re excited to tell the Building Bridges story and show the impact that our organization has had over the past 50 years,” said Laura Haywood, development coordinator for BBDCS. “The success of Building Bridges’ students, clients, and their families cannot happen without the support of our community partners through donations and fundraising events like Taste and Talent.
